THE HISTORY OF COSTA MAYA FOOD SERVICE

Search of excellence with Loyalty-toward our associates, Honesty-toward our company and professionalism- toward our customers are the ingredients of the recipe that make the restaurants of CMFS_ Bandito’s and Mamasita’s such a huge success. Located in Porto Costa Maya and with plans to expand, CMFS; revenue centers include a Convenience Store, Theme carts and a Commissary. CMFS Signature Restaurants runs the gamete from authentic Mexican food to or theme carts, casual beer and Margarita’s bars by the beach and the pool in Costa Maya port.

The story of CMFS began in Costa Maya in 2001 when Gustavo Quattrone, General Manager and his team of managers, Rebecca Milstein, Tony Aranda, Carlos Gayol, opened their Bandito’s restaurant, in the heart of Costa Maya port, Mahahual. CMFS was created around values of hard work, being fair and honest and serving great food and drinks with an excellent service.

The outstanding reputation of Bandito’s led to the creation of Mamasita’s.The Mamasita’s Restaurant location is across the pool in Costa Maya port. Mamasita’s features gourmet Mexican fast food, whole fresh Fish dishes and a variety of tacos and snacks. They evoke the feelings of the great Baja California taco shops for which Seafood Mexican food is famous.

It will be no longer before CMFS Restaurants expanded to other ports and abroad. In 2002 CMFS was completely operational with its 3000 square meters facility called Comissariato and became a destination spot for breakfast and lunch to all port employees. The CMFS operations at the Comissariato include a buffet style, Seafood restaurant caleed Chuck kay with affordable prices, a convenience store and a laundry facility.

Because Costa Maya Food service treats each and every customer and employee as a member of the family and because of the comfortable atmosphere, the restaurants have continued to maintain a loyal followingcustomers and a low turn over of employees.

All of our restaurants have attracted crew members as well as passengers of the cruise ships. Ing Isaac Hamui, founder of Costa Maya port is a frequent customer at Bandito’s Restaurant. Frequently Bandito’s catered Mr. Hamui’s Birthday Party’s at the Porto Costa Maya.

Political movers and shakers though, are not the only guests who frequent Bandito’s Restaurant when visiting Costa Maya Port.Celebrity diners have included United States senators, actors, and many more.

Costa Maya Food Service dedicates a great deal of time and money to giving back to the community, especially training and preparing people to perform tourism related duties at the local area and abroad. In 2003, the company will certify 3 managers that form that date on would be able to train and certified people from Mahahual town.

The CMFS training team will donate their time o prepared prospects to work with the local community and their visitors, CMFS also sponsor events like Mother’s and children day’s in Mahahual and the Coca-cola fishing tournament.

The recipe that CMFS has created based upon excellent service, loyalty, honesty and professionalism is truly a huge success. It will be passed on to generation after generation and will continue in all future of CMFS and the development of the Costa Maya project.

Buon Provecho!

Gustavo Quattrone
